Is it safe to wash my kung fu panda plush in the washing machine?
We have the 14in Tigress plushie from the movie, bought second hand, and smells a little like bleach possibley. Not real comfortable letting my child play with it until she’s been washed. It says spot clean and air dry. Is it ok to put it in the washer in a pillow case and tie it, or will that ruin it? Also is it supposed to be loose in the pillow case or tight? Should it be washed with other items, or alone?
you don’t have to put it in a pillow case or any other case, just place it in the washer with a few light towels. Add a cup of baking soda to the wash, it will help absorb odors, put vinegar in the rinse cycle, this will help make it soft without adding chemicals.
I would hang the panda up for a few minutes to assure that all excess water is removed, do this while you start drying your towels, before the towels are dried put the panda in the dryer, this will cut down on the time it needs to dry as the towels will absorb most of the moisture.
